MySpace has launched a new version of its social networking website which has been optimised for use on internet-enabled mobile phones.About 20 million members access the website through their handsets every month. As a result, the portal has invested in improving the functionality and layout in order to enhance the user experience for mobile internet customers. This development will make it the only social networking site with applications that can be supported on all smartphone platforms, such as Google Android and iPhone. The organisation commented: "The new mobile website further enhances the look and feel of MySpace on mobile, making it even more consistent with the popular online MySpace experience."Meanwhile, a study by comScore has found that three-quarters of internet users in Europe are registered with social networking websites.Figures showed that out of 282.7 million people who went online during December 2008, 211 million visited a site such as MySpace, Facebook and Bebo.
